📋 Course Description:
Lifting and moving heavy materials is a daily part of construction work, but improper techniques can lead to serious injuries. The 1-Hour Handling Heavy Materials and Proper Lifting Techniques Course teaches workers how to lift, carry, and transport materials safely to prevent muscle strain and workplace accidents. This course provides essential training on proper body mechanics, common risks, and regulatory requirements.
While it does not certify participants in advanced material handling, it satisfies one hour of the Site Safety Training (SST) requirements under NYC Local Law 196 of 2017.
