One-Story Warehouse Building
Project Description: Three years (eight months per building) — $400 million
The project involved the construction of a new 1 million-square-foot warehouse building. It also included major site work and utilities for three buildings on three separate sites.The project scope included a new building with mezzanine 42 feet from grade, precast panels, steel, metal decking, poured concrete deck, and footings. Major utilities from City Grid (electric, plumbing, sewer, and gas) grading, site work, curbs, and asphalt parking are also included in the scope.

Pre-task planning for all construction trades was performed as they mobilized onto the site to identify and reduce hazards. Menotti participated in all weekly construction meeting to identify upcoming tasks with the trades and to review the safety requirements, whether it be a New York City Department of Building requirement and/or OSHA requirements. We also participated in all major hazardous tasks, including but not limited to tower crane installation, crane lifting task planning, and fire safety related tasks. OSHA training was provided for various subcontractors outside of the job for a separate fee.

Menotti Enterprise acted as the lead liaison with NYC Dept. of Buildings BEST Squad inspectors, along with the owner, contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, and all trades. We also conducted initial project orientation presentation for all trades starting day one along with making sure all who entered the construction site had the proper and required credentials. Not only did Menotti reduce all risk and liability to all who owned and entered the site, but we also prepared a construction site safety plan and offered engineered drawings. New 16-Story Residential Building
Project Description: Two years — $100 million The project involved the construction of a new 16-story residential building with steel, plank, and masonry construction. Similar to the aforementioned project, major utilities from City Grid, grading, site work, curbs, and asphalt parking were also part of the scope.
The Menotti team conducted pre-task planning for all construction trades as they mobilized onto the site. We took part in all weekly meetings to create upcoming tasks with trades, identify potential risks, and lay out all safety requirements. Our team played a role in all major hazardous tasks including tower crane installation, crane lifting task planning, and fire-related tasks.

As is the case with many of our projects, we served as the primary liaison with NYC’s BEST Squad inspectors, along with the owner, contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, and all trades. We took it upon ourselves to make sure all who entered the construction site had the proper and required credentials. Menotti also held an initial project orientation for all trades starting day one.

40-Story Hotel
Project Description: Three years — $400 million
The project included reinforced concrete work and use of a tower crane excavation was performed on a $200 million cubic yard, five stories below grade. We first conducted pre-task planning for all construction trades as they moved onto the site. The Menotti team participated in weekly meetings to determine possible hazards and lay out all safety measures whether it be NYC Department of Building requirements and/or OSHA requirements.
Menotti played a key cog in all major hazardous tasks such as tower crane installation, crane lifting task planning, and fire safety related tasks. We should also note that OSHA training was provided to various subcontractors outside of the job for a separate fee. Menotti served as the lead communicator between the owner, contractors, construction managers, and subcontractors.

We emphasized the importance of safety from the project’s inception by checking that everyone who entered the site had the necessary credentials. This project included pre-cast slabs, bearing wall block, brick EIFs, and an on-site mobile crane. We handled pre-task planning for all construction trades as they mobilized onto the site. From there, we took part in weekly meetings to pinpoint upcoming tasks and identify hazards. Menotti also laid out the project’s safety requirements to ensure they were in accordance with the NYC Department of Building and OSHA.

New Building Ground-Up Excavation Phase
Project Description: 30 months — $350 million

The project included poured-in-place concrete and a tower crane. Since the project took two and a half years to complete, pre-task planning was essential. The Menotti team also participated in weekly meetings to identify upcoming tasks and hazards. We laid out safety requirements right from the beginning, whether they were associated with OSHA or the NYC Department of Building.
