The NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) carried out scheduled maintenance on the DOB NOW system from Friday, January 24, 2025, at 4:00 pm through Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 10:00 pm. During this time, the system’s internal software underwent updates that temporarily disabled access to several modules.
The affected modules included DOB NOW: Build, Safety, Licensing, and BIS Options. Users could not access these services while the updates were in progress.
DOB NOW: Inspections were also affected for requests tied to DOB NOW job filings. If your inspection request was connected to a DOB NOW filing, it may have been delayed or unavailable during the maintenance window.
The Buildings Information System (BIS) was not affected and remained available throughout the maintenance period.
